Arab Potash Awards 10-year Power Plant Maintenance Contract to Egyptian Company

Arab Potash Company has awarded a 10-year maintenance contract to Egypt’s San Masr, in partnership with Siemens Energy, to maintain gas turbines and heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) at its Ghor Al-Safi operations in Jordan.

The agreement covers comprehensive maintenance and technical support for two Siemens Energy gas turbines that supply electricity and steam to the company’s production facilities. The programme is intended to improve equipment reliability, increase operational efficiency and reduce the risk of unplanned outages.

Arab Potash said the long-term partnership forms part of its strategy to safeguard critical production assets, strengthen operational performance and support future expansion. The company expects the agreement to lower maintenance costs over time while improving energy efficiency and supporting its sustainability objectives.

San Masr said the contract highlights confidence in its engineering capabilities and confirmed it will deploy specialist technical teams to help ensure the safe and reliable operation of the power generation system throughout the contract period.
