Weir PLC has appointed Marc Cameron as President of its Minerals Division. He will join the company on 26 October 2026 and become a member of the Group Executive.
Cameron has more than 25 years of experience in mining operations, heavy equipment, technology and commercial management. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President, Resource Industries at Caterpillar Inc., where he led the global commercial organisation and oversaw the expansion of Caterpillar’s mining technology and software portfolio.
Before joining Caterpillar in 2020, Cameron spent almost two decades at Rio Tinto in senior operational and leadership roles. These included Managing Director of Rio Tinto Kennecott and President and Chief Operating Officer of the Diavik Diamond Mine. His responsibilities included safety, operational performance, strategy development and staff development.
Originally from New Brunswick, Canada, Cameron will be based in Fort Worth, USA.
